A romantic Prince Harry whispered to on-again girlfriend Chelsy Davy- ‘you’re next.’ Now a new report says he’s getting ready to pop the question!

Prince Harry wants to leave his “wild child” days behind him! The 26-year-old brought his girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 26, with him to the April 29 royal wedding and immediately the world began speculating whether he would be the next to walk down the aisle — and it turns out he just might be!

“Harry told Chelsy he’s ready to settle down for good with her and make things official,” a source tells Life & Style. “Harry has been accused of cheating on her in the past [which he’s denied], and her friends at the time told her to ditch him because he was bad news. But now it’s the opposite.”

Prince Harry and Chelsy met in 2004 while in Chelsy’s native South Africa. Chelsy’s father made his multi-million dollar fortune as a safari operator in Zimbabwe and Prince Harry has spent quite a bit of time with Chelsy in her hometown. But in January 2009 the couple decided to take a break reportedly due to Harry’s hard partying and controversial ways — falling out of nightclubs, wearing a Nazi uniform at a Halloween party and being seen out with various women.

“Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen a massive shift in Harry’s character,” Katie Nicholl, author of The Making of a Royal Romance, tells Life & Style. “He’s settled down a lot more — he’s not falling out of nightclubs. He takes his military career incredibly seriously and has changed his lifestyle.”

While on the outs with Harry, Chelsy left South Africa to pursue a law degree at the University of Leeds and now she works at London law firm Allen & Overy.

Now that Prince William is married the pressure is off Prince Harry a bit. Katie Nicholl’s adds that Prince Harry wouldn’t likely have an extravagant wedding — he’d be more apt to marry at Windsor Castle.

“As the spare heir, Harry wouldn’t be under the same pressure as his brother to have a big public wedding.”
