The young woman who lived through a terrifying abduction and 18 years of captivity, is telling her chilling tale.
Kidnapped at the age of 11, for 18 years Jaycee Dugard was held hostage in a backyard shelter and forced to bear two children to her kidnapper, a convicted sex offender. Now she has decided to tell her tale of horror in a memoir entitled A Stolen Life, which will be released on July 12. Will you read it?
According to the publisher Simon & Schuster, the book will cover Jaycee’s story, from when she was abducted in 1991 to her present-day life as a 31-year-old mother of two daughters Angel, 16, and Starlit, 12, who were fathered by her abductor, Phillip Garrido.
In addition to the hardcover and e-book, an unabridged audio book, read by Jaycee herself, will also be released.
Last month, Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sexual assault. Phillip will get 431 years in prison, and Nancy 36 years to life.
