The story keeps getting sadder for the Maine mother whose child was found in her abandoned car.
The disappearance of 20-year-old mother Krista Dittmeyer keeps getting more tragic, as police believe they found blood in her abandoned car — empty except for her baby daughter Aliyah.
The strange case began as Krista’s car was found with her 14-month-old daughter abandoned in a New Hampshire parking lot. Krista — who lives in Portland, Maine — quickly became a missing person, and the blood found on the scene is very ominous and it looks like she didn’t leave willingly, police tell FoxNews.com.
“From a very early point in the investigation we drew the conclusion that she did not voluntarily absent herself from her car,” Conway Police Lt. Christopher Perley says.
Krista last spoke to her family at 8 p.m. on April 22 and her car was reported abandoned the next day at 6:30 a.m. Although the reason she was in New Hampshire is unknown, she allegedly has a “number of social contacts” locally.
We hope this young mother is recovered — especially for the sake of her baby!
