It looks like an end to their nasty war of words — Gabriel has gone to court to put a stop to this tumultuous custody fight.
It’s cease-fire for Halle Berry and her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry! The two have decided to call a truce so that they can focus on two-year-old Nahla. Gabriel went to court on Feb. 15 to have his custody case dropped and his request for spousal support dismissed.
“Gabriel and Halle resumed talking again last week,” a source tells RadarOnline.com. “And it seems that Halle is going to be making it easier for Gabriel to spend time with Nahla, which has been a sticking point between the two up til now.”
Halle is currently meeting with her legal team to discuss options.
This surprising development comes after the 44-year-old actress sparked controversy saying that she was concerned for Nahla’s safety while in the care of her father. Other reports recently suggested that Halle was upset that Aubry, 34, had allegedly used the n-word.
But now it appears that the back-and-forth may be cooling a bit. And, the source implies that Halle is no longer going to fight for sole custody of Nahla.
“I think Halle started realizing that things were getting out of control,” the source explains. “It was just getting too nasty and too public.”
Gabriel also wants to keep the matters private: “His thing has always been that he will save the truth and fight, if needs be, in the privacy of family court, where no cameras or press are allowed.”
For Nahla’s sake, we hope this new development means that her parents are coming to an agreement on how they both can best co-parent their little girl.
