Jillian thinks Brad and Chantal are the perfect match — and Laurel just needs to shut up! We hope Chantal can block out Laurel.
Brad Womack is telling everyone he’s finally found love on The Bachelor. But despite his happiness, his ex-girlfriend Laurel Kagay broke the news last week that Brad had proposed to her just before leaving to film the show for the second time. The catch? She never gave Brad an answer.
Now, former Bachelorette Jillian Harris, has a message for Laurel. “I’m sorry. You missed your boat, sweetheart,” Jillian tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively .
“To me, it just seems like if you did love him, you would say yes,” Jillian told us at Starkist’s Charlie the Tuna’s 50th B-Day Bash in NYC. “But if you’re not really sure, he’s going to move on and find somebody new.”
That’s exactly what Brad say he has done — found the love of his life on this season of The Bachelor. And, if the reports are true that Chantal O’Brien is the winner, Jillian thinks that they make a great match!
“I think Brad’s a smart guy,” Jillian explains. “I really like Chantal. She’s a down-to-earth person. If she’s the winner, the odds are for them. You can really sense that sincerity. I think that Brad wants to have a family.”
But as fans know, it’s what happens after the show ends that destroys the happy couples. “You feel like you really do have that connection and that’s something you can’t take away,” Jillian remembers.
But Jillian had to learn the hard way when she broke with Ed Swiderski. The real relationship “takes months, sometimes years, to build.”
So, Brad and Chantal “have to be secure about [their] relationship,” advises Jillian. The spotlight “adds some extra pressure, but it all just comes down to the two people.”
Hopefully the limelight doesn’t tear Brad and Chantal apart, especially now that Laurel’s claims have surfaced.
As Jillian puts it, Laurel is just hungry for fame: “She’s gotten a lot of press from it. And hopefully nobody else that comes on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette has dated her, because she will be sure to talk about it.”
For Chantal’s sake, we hope she can see right through Laurel’s intentions.
