Amber can spend as much time as she wants with her baby daddy Gary! Is that a good idea? Vote!
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood and her ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley recently asked courts to remove Amber’s no contact order. Judge David Happe ruled today (Feb. 9) that Amber and Gary can be in touch with each other and hang out all they want. But there is a catch — their baby daughter Leah can’t be around during the encounters!
The only time 2-year-old Leah can be present is during an exchange when one parent is handing her care over to the other.
Amber, 20, was originally booked and jailed for two felony charges after she beat up Gary on national television. But Gary was the first to pursue having the no contact order removed and has even been in contact with Amber through phone calls and text messages.
According to Amber’s lawyer, the no contact order was against Amber and not Gary. It prohibited her from having any type of contact with her ex. But, the order had no control over Gary’s actions. He was free to call and text Amber all he wanted.
Today, Judge Happe modified that order granting Amber and Gary the right to spend time together!
With the happy news in mind Gary informed the judge they want to get married! “That’s the end goal — to go for marriage,” Gary said, according to Us magazine. But right now, “we’ve talked about taking things real slow. We have our own places. We’ll continue to keep our own places.”
Amber and Gary left the courtroom hand in hand!
