The Travolta’s say that their son has brought them a “new beginning” after the tragic death of their son, Jett.
Less than two months after his birth, John Travolta and Kelly Preston are ready to introduce their tiny “miracle” to the world ! “He’s given the house a renewed spirit and purpose,” John, 56, tells People magazine about his son, Benjamin. “For us it’s been uplifting. Especially when he smiles at me and seems contented in my arms.” It’s great that John and Kelly have a reason to smile once again.
After losing their 16-year-old son Jett in January 2009, baby Benjamin has brought a new joy into the Travolta’s lives. They had been trying for three years to conceive, so when Kelly, 48, found out she was expecting the couple were “completely blown away!” she says. Even big sister Ella Bleu, 10, who is “Mommy’s helper,” couldn’t contain her excitement. She’s going to be a great role model for her new sibling.
Now, the Travoltas are enjoying being with Benjamin at their home in Ocala, Fla. And once again their house is filled with laughter and songs and giggles. John serenades his son with “A Bushel and a Peck,” from the musical Guys and Dolls, and there are lots of readings of the book Good Night, Gorilla. And the best moment for Kelly and John so far? Benjamin’s first smile. Aww! What was your favorite newborn baby moment, HollyMoms?
We’re so thrilled for Kelly and John! This is indeed a very happy time for them.
