Ricky Martin is thinking about adding to his “modern family.” Two years ago, Ricky welcomed his twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, through a surrogate and they must have had a profound effect on him — because now he’s considering adoption! “Even though I started with surrogacy, adoption is probably my next step,” Ricky tells Extra. Ricky Martin reveals he was gay for the sake of his kids!

The Puerto Rican pop star recently performed at the CBS special A Home for the Holidays, which raises awareness of adoption — something that Ricky strongly believes in and supports! “I had to be here as a father,” he explained to Extra’s Teri Seymour. “Twenty thousand children have been beautifully impacted by this project. Adoption is beautiful. Give it a try!”

Although he celebrates his birthday on December 24, Ricky’s children are his focus this season. “I’ve been very lucky, but now it’s not about me, now it’s about my children,” he says. “It’s their holiday now.” With the new year fast approaching, Ricky’s only wish is for his two boys. “I just want my children to be happy,” he says. “I want my children to be healthy.” How wonderful is Ricky?
