Elin may be happy to be away from Tiger this holiday season, but she’s less thrilled with the idea that her ex-husband will miss their son Charlie’s second birthday!
Elin Nordegren flew to Sweden for Christmas with her kids, Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1½, and left her ex-husband, Tiger Woods, home alone for the holidays. It serves him right! After already missing out on Charlie’s first birthday, Tiger (who swore he’d never miss another one of his kids’ milestones) will be busy competing in a golf tournament in Dubai on Feb 8. — his son’s second birthday! And that’s not all, he was a no-show at his daughter Sam’s third birthday party in June because he was playing in the U.S. Open! Is this OK, Hollymoms?
“Elin is still furious at Tiger for all his lies,” a friend tells the National Enquirer. “She considers his years of cheating bad enough, but she said, “I just can’t forgive him lying about the children’s birthdays.” What might be upsetting Elin the most is that Tiger, 34, made a public apology about his cheating scandal, where he promised he would never skip another birthday. “That hurts a lot,” he said about missing Charlie’s first birthday due to his stint in sex rehab. “I vowed I would never miss another one after that. It was something I will probably regret the rest of my life.”
Elin, 30, allowed Tiger to have the kids for Thanksgiving so that she could escape to London and Stockholm for Christmas and have a good time with her children, family and friends. “Elin didn’t want Tiger around her or the kids at Christmastime,” the family friend explains. “She wanted to be with her family and friends in Sweden, and forget all about Tiger, her divorce and the nightmare year she has been through.”
