The Teen Mom star is in hot water again! She didn’t wake up when Child Services agents came to her house to return her daughter, Leah, this morning. Will the authorities take action against her?
Amber Portwood must have lived it up last night (December 20) while her daughter, Leah, was spending the night with her father, Gary Shirley. Because when two agents from the Indiana Department of Child Services showed up at her house at 11:30 this morning to hand over the 2-year-old, the Teen Mom star never answered the door, according to Star magazine!
“They rang the doorbell for a couple of minutes, then started knocking on the front door,” a neighbor tells the magazine. “There was no answer, so they began calling Amber’s cell phone. When she didn’t pick up, they literally began pounding on the door. This whole thing went on for close to 20 minutes — and she still didn’t answer!”
An MTV film crew showed up in the meantime and a producer feared that someone was going to call the police. Instead, they contacted the property manager, who handed over a key to the producer. Eventually, Leah and the IDCS agents got into the house.
According to the neighbor: “The two agents came over after a few minutes and left, so Leah was obviously handed over.”
But a source close to the 20-year-old mom says that Amber’s partying could have been the problem. “Amber oversleeps when she parties, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the IDCS takes some more action against her after what went down today,” says the source, who is quick to point out how shocked they were that Leah was left with her. The insider is also sure that Gary will freak out when he finds out about this incident.
Considering Leah was made a ward of the state less than a month ago, we think that the authorities should take this latest lapse very seriously. What if Amber had been passed out and unresponsive while baby Leah was in the house?
HollyMoms, do you think it was a mistake to leave Leah with Amber this morning?
