The Gosselin kids were out of control while visiting Sarah Palin’s Alaska home. They even damaged the Mama Grizzly’s bearskin rug. What would you do if your kids destroyed a strangers stuff?
Mother-of-eight Kate Gosselin is coming under fire for allowing her kids to go crazy — and ruin a bearskin rug — during a visit to Sarah Palin‘s home in Alaska. Perhaps Kate, 35, has brought this on herself, after all she was the one who pointed out the furry floor cover. “Look there’s a bear on the floor. Did anyone notice?” Kate clearly told 10-year-old twins Cara and Mady and 6-year-old sextuplets Joel, Collin, Aaden, Hannah, Leah, and Alexis upon arriving at the Palin homestead on last night’s episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska.
It doesn’t take long for the eight kids to get up close and personal with the bear! Kate didn’t even try to stop them. In fact, considering she pointed it out, I’d go so far as to say that she instigated the attack! They climbed all over it and even ripped the tongue right out of its mouth! You can see them in action, right here.
Now, if you’re like me, HollyMoms, you’d be absolutely mortified if your kids damaged someone else’s belongings. But much to my surprise and disgust, Kate just laughed it off. “Was the tongue removable before?” she asked, before quickly adding, “Oh perfect, because it is now!” She wasn’t phased at all! How is that possible? I would have wished for the floor to open up and swallow me whole before I had to face the Palins.
What about you HollyMoms? How do you handle those sticky situations?
Sure, accidents happen. But it’s the way in which Kate just brushed it off, and never offered to pay for the damages — she didn’t even bother to apologize — that makes the situation so unsettling. If that’s the way she parents, then it’s really no surprise that her kids are becoming more and more out of control.
