While Tiger Woods attempted to win the Chevron World Challenge, his ex-wife Elin enjoyed a wonderful day with their children Sam and Charlie at a Swedish festival!
Around this time last year, Elin Nordegren certainly wasn’t in the holiday spirit as she dealt with her then husband, Tiger Woods‘ devastating cheating scandal. It destroyed their six year marriage. This year, the 30-year-old former Swedish model has found some happiness and is celebrating the festive season with her adorable children Sam, 3 and Charlie, 1½! On Saturday the trio spent the afternoon celebrating the Swedish holiday, Saint Lucia’s Day at the First United Methodist Church in Boca Raton, Florida! “Elin and the children were dancing around the Christmas tree with other families and having such a wonderful time,” a source tells People magazine. “Elin had a look of contentment on her face.” That’s great!
Saint Lucia’s Day, which is typically observed in Sweden as the festival of lights, celebrates the Winter Solstice and is a day dedicated to family and women in honor of the Swedish Saint of Light! While Daddy Tiger put up a valiant fight at the Chevron World Challenge this weekend, Elin, and the kids munched on open-faced sandwiches, Swedish meatballs and ginger snap biscuits! Yummy! “Some of the children dressed in costumes, but Sam and Charlie were decked out in regular clothes,” the source says. “They watched the other children, including one 5-year-old girl who played the violin.”
It is wonderful to hear that Elin is finally enjoying herself after what seemed to be a never-ending scandal. “To watch Elin and the kids and the many other Swedish families come together for this special day was inspirational and rewarding,” the source observes. “The room was filled with love.”
