Khloe Kardashian’s husband is taking legal action against his ex, Liza Morales, in the hopes that he’ll be allowed to put their kids — Destiny and L.J. — on TV. But she’s warning Khloe that he’s an absentee dad!
Lamar Odom is in the middle of some baby mama drama! The NBA star, who married Khloe Kardashian after a whirlwind romance last September, is taking the mother of his children, Liza Morales, to court to set a “parental access schedule” so that he can feature their daughter, Destiny, 12, and son, L.J., 9, on the new reality show he and Khloe are filming for the E! network. Liza isn’t thrilled with the idea of her kids appearing on the TV show that will document the couple as they try to get pregnant. And with good reason. “He has not been there for his children for years,” she tells In Touch.
“Just get yourself together as a father first!” Liza slams Lamar in the new issue of In Touch. She also wants to warn Khloe that her husband doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to fidelity. Liza, a NYC-based fashion designer, claims that Lamar had been having a two-year relationship with another brunette, Lara Manoukian, behind her back before they broke up in 2008! “It was a shock to my core,” the 31-year-old tells the magazine. “I hope Khloe understands where I’m coming from.”
If Khloe does know about her husband’s checkered past, she’s not letting it get in the way of her bonding with his kids. “Khloe’s close with Lamar’s children, and I think she’s pushing to have them on to prove what a great stepmom she is,”a friend tells Star magazine. “I don’t think she realizes how difficult it could be if they were dragged into all the Kardashian drama. That’s why their mother is putting her foot down about it.”
Actually, Liza is opposed to the kids being filmed because Lamar isn’t exactly an involved father. “Lamar has always been welcome to see the children, but he hardly comes,” she tells Star. “It’s been an issue for a couple of years. It’s disappointing.” If that’s true, I think it’s sad that Lamar is only showing an interest in his kids because of the TV show. That’s just wrong.
She and Lamar also had a third child a baby boy, Jayden, who died when he was 6 months old from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, which is what she believes really drove them apart. “When we lost Jayden it hit him really hard and that definitely had an effect on our relationship — it was a big part of us growing apart,” she says.
HollyMoms, do you think the kids’ mom is doing the right thing by trying to keep them away from the cameras or are you on Lamar’s side of this family drama?
