The GOP's Plot For Bristol To Win 'DWTS:' Will Sarah Palin's Fans Make It Happen?

The Republicans took the House, but can they take Dancing with the Stars too? Palin-friendly groups are campaigning for Bristol to win — and they just might succeed!

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out Dancing with the Stars has become far more of a popularity contest than a dance competition! Despite being one of the strongest dancers on the show, reality starlet Audrina Patridge was quickly eliminated because America didn’t vote for her. Now, one of the weakest dancers, Bristol Palin is heading to the semi-finals because she has an entire political party pulling for her — the GOP.

Although our DWTS insider assures us Sarah Palin isn’t the one campaigning to get her daughter votes, her millions of die-hard followers certainly are.

“Operation Bristol waltzes in tonight! As #DWTS starts vote at Tweeps pls tweet phone info, will RT,” Palin activist Tammy Bruce tweeted to her thousands of followers last week.

Bristol, 19, was the lowest scoring contestant during the Week 8 performances, but that didn’t stop GOP groups across the country from rallying behind “Bristol the Pistol,” or as we here at have deemed her, Bristallion.

“Vote for Bristol Palin!” a website called Conservatives 4 Palin said, giving dial-in info. “Warm up those dialing/texting/mouse-clicking fingers!”

“Tonight is the night,” another site, Motivation Truth, told it’s readers, urging them to watch and support the GOP’s favorite teen mom., another Conservative site, follows Bristol’s progress every week and gives its readers all the info they need to vote, whether they’ve watched the show or not.

Although other less-than-stellar candidates have made it far in the Dancing with the Stars world, no one as low-scoring as Bristol has ever won the grand prize. However, scores are only half the battle — viewers’ votes are what really determine the winner and Palin supporters are out for a win! Do YOU think they’ll succeed?
