With a wonderful musician like Chris Martin as a dad, you would think that his son, Moses, would be Coldplay‘s biggest fan! But mom Gwyneth Paltrow, 38, says that’s not the case! She predicts that her 4-year-old son will follow in her husband’s footsteps, but says that he definitely has a different taste in music! “Moses sings the most in our house,” Gwyneth tells Britain’s Hello! Magazine. “He’s humming and singing all day long. Not my husband’s songs — he’s more into T-Pain or he’ll just sing whatever song he hears on the radio. Super-poppy music.”
The Academy Award winning actress, who also has a daughter Apple, 6, with Chris, 33, is about to show off her own vocal chops in the new film Country Song, in which she plays a down-on-her-luck musician. And she’s set to sing the title song from the film alongside Vince Gill at the Country Music Association award show on ABC on Wendesday (Nov. 10).
But although she is a singer herself, the mom-of-two says she isn’t all that talented as a songwriter. When asked if she helps Chris write his songs, Gwyneth says, “No! No, no, no, no, no. He wouldn’t ask me to either. I would be the worst person to come to — I would write the most s**t lyrics of all time. The kids could probably write better songs than me.”
This new movie role may thrust her back into the spotlight, but right now Gwyneth (who eased up on her work schedule after having her kids) is primarily concerned with being a good wife and mom, “My focus these days is more on my family than on my career.”
