Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s kids are having the best time in Budapest! “They love the school,” says Angelina, who moved the family to the Hungarian capital while she directs her first feature film. It certainly does seem like the kids are having a blast!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been dragging their six kids — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and 2-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — around the world for years. Luckily for them, their little ones are great at adapting to new experiences, especially now that they’ve settled into life at their new school in Hungary, where mom Angie is directing her first movie. Life & Style magazine reports that the kids are making lots of new friends, but there’s one drawback — they’re not loving the Hungarian delicacies served in the school cafeteria!
The four eldest Jolie-Pitts are enrolled at Lycee Francais Gustave Eiffel Budapest school, which is only about a 20-minute commute from the 11,200-square-foot mansion they’re currently calling home. Zahara, 5 and Shiloh, 4, are in the same kindergarten class, while Maddox and Pax are excelling in their advanced classes at the elementary school. “They love the school,” says their proud mother, according to Life & Style. And a classmate tells the magazine that Mad, 9, is a star soccer player (those lessons from his parents’ pal David Beckham are paying off!), which has really helped him shed his shyness and come out of his shell.
Little brother, Pax, 6, is already proving himself to be a ladies man. He’s been seen walking through the halls of the school holding hands with a little girl! Awww! We have a feeling Pax is going to be very popular with the ladies when he’s old enough to date. What do you think, HollyMoms?
The school’s principal tells Life & Style that the children are learning all about Hungarian history, Hungarian folk dance, arts and crafts, land art and karate in both English and French. Talk about an intense course load! But we’re sure the Jolie-Pitt crew can handle anything the school throws at them! And while most American kids can’t wait for the weekend to arrive so they get a break from school, Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh get Wednesdays off instead, during the duration of their stay. Angelina is reportedly thrilled that the kids have taken so easily to their new European environment. She says that she and Brad “see the importance of raising children internationally and traveling a lot with our kids.”
The only thing that sucks about their new school is the lunches, which sound even worse than what American institutions dish up. Apparently, Hungarian delicacies like pickling cucumber, lentil ragout and Hungarian square cheese are regulars on the menu, which could explain why the Jolie-Pitt kids are regularly spotted at the local McDonald’s. Even with kids as worldly the Jolie-Pitt crew, we’re guessing that a Happy Meal sounds a lot more appetizing than a plate full of stuffed cabbage.
