His smooth voice and innovative ability to mix genres will no doubt prove that he’s just as ‘cool’ the second time around. Here are six things you never knew about Mike Posner!

  • Cooler than me is about both a specific girl and specific type of girl that we’ve all encountered in our daily experiences on this earth. She knows who she is. I’m not going to tell you her name because I don’t think she deserves any notoriety. But I will tell you that when I went back to Duke to get my diploma, She grabbed my butt and tried to make a move on me, but I rejected her.
  • He’s single, ladies, but says “I wish I wasn’t. I’m trying to change that every night.”
  • Duke is a really competitive place. The person next to you in the dorm over is starting a company and the person on the other side is raising a million dollars for Obama.  It’s a really cool environment to be in and one that encourages you to be yourself and to make your mark the way you want to.
  • I’m a beard ginger. My hair and all other parts of my body are not ginger-esq. Just my beard.
  • I design a lot of my own pieces. I like wearing sh*t that other people don’t have and cant get because I made it. So I do a lot of work with my friend Dr. Romanelli. A lot of the jackets I wear are designed by him and me. He kind of does with fashion what I do with music, so he’ll take fabrics and stuff from different designers and cut it up and make a new piece out of it. That’s the same thing I do with different genres and artists from different eras. I never say never but I have a lot of great music ahead of me that I have yet to make.
  • I am working on my next album. I started it before I was done with my first album.”
