In recent weeks, we’ve seen Michael Douglas walk his daughter, Carys, to school each morning, but now, as his battle with throat cancer continues, mommy Catherine Zeta-Jones has stepped in to help out.
Michael Douglas has been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments for throat cancer but he’d still found the strength to walk his adorable 7-year-old daughter, Carys, to school each morning. But after he was briefly hospitalized last week, we’re guessing his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, insisted that he rest and recuperate. So this morning (Oct. 13) it was Mom who walked Carys to school — accompanied by their dog, Figaro.
Michael, 66,has just finished eight grueling weeks of cancer treatments and is expected to take another six weeks to recover from the radiation and chemo. Then, he will need to have periodic check-ups. “He’s really happy about it ending,” Michael’s longtime friend and publicist Allen Burry tells People.
We hope that Michael is resting and taking some time to get better. Hopefully, we will see him healthy enough to return to his morning walk with Carys very soon! Catherine says, “He is holding up with strength and dignity.”
