We spoke with Let Me In star Chloe Moretz, who reveals that playing a vampire onscreen might sound scary but it’s actually really fun, AND she loves all things vampires!
Looking for a movie that’s going to give you goosebumps? Look no further, because the super scary flick Let Me In hits theaters Oct. 1, and it’s bound to freak you out! HollywoodLife.com attended the NYC premiere of the film Sept. 30, and we got a chance to talk to the film’s star Chloe Moretz, 13, who reveals playing a blood sucking vampire isn’t as frightening as it sounds. Not only is playing a vampire fun, she loves CW’s hit show Vampire Diaries!
“Vampire Diaries is my favorite TV show ever it’s like my number one show,” she gushes. “The Lockwoods are cool werewolves but I’m pretty down with the whole Ian Somerhalder vampire thing.”
In the film, Chloe plays Abby, a little girl in the town of Los Alamos, NM., who befriends her next door neighbor Owen [Kodi Smit-McPhee], and eventually reveals herself as a three hundred year old vampire.
“It’s a lot of fun [playing a vampire],” says Chloe. “I didn’t get scared shooting it, you put red maple syrup on for the blood … it’s fun because it’s all fake!”
This bound-to-be superstar, had just flown back from London, where she is staring in Martin Scorsese‘s 3D film, Hugo Cabret, alongside Jude Law.
“Martin is so amazing,” she says. “He’s a legend, just to be a part of this film is phenomenal.”
