Just a day after Lindsay’s jail sentence was reversed, she went to an LA homeless shelter for some image-burnishing — but new reports say she could be back to rehab soon enough.
Since the terms of Lindsay Lohan‘s new probation forbid her to be anywhere alcohol is served, she’s replaced her former hangouts like the Chateau Marmont, with something a little less glitzy — homeless shelters. The 24-year-old fallen starlet was released from jail Sept. 24, after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg reversed the decision to keep Lindsay in jail without bail. Once Lindsay posted her $300,000 bail, she was spotted doing some major damage control at a local LA homeless shelter.
Lindsay, her mom Dina, sister Ali, and business manager Lou Taylor, spent the evening of Sept. 26 at the Dream Center, a “mission and outreach center” in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. While there, Lindsay signed autographs and handed out purses to young girls.
“What a great place the Dream Center is here in LA,” Lindsay tweeted. “I had a nice time there today, it’s so important to give back. I feel blessed.”
The new terms of Lindsay’s probation require her to wear a SCRAM bracelet [an alcohol monitoring device], she is not allowed into clubs or places that sell primarily alcohol, she must submit to random law enforcement searches and Lindsay is forbidden to consort with known drug users.
Despite being released on bail, Lindsay is expected back in court Oct. 22, for the official hearing regarding the violation of her original probation. Even though Lindsay might be sent straight back to jail when she stands before Judge Elden Fox, TMZ is reporting that Lindsay is going back to rehab! Reports are saying the actress is on the verge of checking herself into a “live-in” rehab facility outside of the LA area.
HollywoodLife.com spoke to the LA County Sheriff’s Office to find out if Lindsay’s new rehab facility would interfere with Lindsay’s weekly drug tests.
“It’s a case by case basis,” says a spokesperson for the LA County Sheriff’s Department. “It would be up to the judge to decide if that’s an appropriate rehab facility and it’s up to the rehab whether they will allow her to leave for her drug testing or if someone from the court will go to her.”
As for Lindsay’s upcoming bio-pic, Inferno, sources close to the production of the film are saying there’s “little interest” in finishing it.
“You can sense that this will be a project that will go straight to video, even if it ever really is finished,” says the source.
