Love and stability are extremely important for kids! It’s fundamental that children develop a sense of security and support with help from their families at an early age, and that’s something Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman knows.

This is the most important tip that you can ever get as a parent! “It’s important to tell [your kids] that you love them,” actor and father of three (son Cooper, 3, and daughters Tallulah, 3, and Willa, 2) Philip Seymour Hoffman, 43, shared with HollyBaby.com exclusivelyat the Labyrinth Theater Company’s Poker LAB Benefit sponsored by Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa at the Soho House in New York City on Sept. 19. “Don’t assume that they know!”

“I think it’s important that you’re physically affectionate with your children — that they get used to you hugging them and holding their hands,” Philip continued. “Those are the things that are the most important — that they know you’re there and you’re not going anywhere.”

“Get habitual about that,” Philip suggested. Make sure “they’re not concerned or anxious — that they know you’re there!”

Don’t you totally agree with Philip’s advice? There’s nothing more important in a child’s life than stability and love from his or her parents and family!
