So, what’s the trick behind capturing an amazing photo? According to Milla and her pal, the famed photog Miles Aldridge, it’s a killer soundtrack and working with old friends!

What do you get when you combine a talented actress, a hat made of feathers, a luxury vehicle, and bunnies? The latest campaign for the Mercedes-Benz E class! “The great thing about Milla, is that she really can just get on with it, whereas some other models need a lot of coaxing,” photographer Miles Aldridge told us at a tea party honoring Milla Jovovich as the new brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz during Fashion Week on Sept. 18.

Although the shoot looks so elaborate, Miles said, “We shot the picture really fast, actually.” According to Milla, working with old friends definitely made her more comfortable. “It was so much fun, not only being an ambassador for Mercedes-Benz which is the epitome of luxury and style and elegance and performance, but working with friends. To have known Miles as long as we’ve known each other, and Philip [Treacy] I’ve known for so many years, it was really like a group of friends getting together and expressing themselves and having a good time.”

“The music is super important too,” Milla said, while turning to Miles. “We had a good soundtrack that day, I was playing Fever Rain,” he said. “I heard it when I was getting my makeup done and I was like, ‘ugh, yes!’ It’s so important to have that vibe on set to get everybody in the state of mind. When you are performing, that sensational feeling — everything you’re hearing, and everything you’re seeing, it adds to it, you have to create a mood, and that’s what Miles is great at — creating a mood on set,” Milla said.

You may not be able to take your eyes away from the striking star in the image, but according to Milla she was almost overpowered by the feathered headpiece crafted by Philip Treacy! “When Philip put the hat on my head, I was like, ‘Alright, hat cut!’ Everyone was like, ‘We can’t see her face! we gotta see Milla, we actually hired Milla’.”

So, what’s it like being on set surrounded by bunnies, propped up on a luxury vehicle? “She was on stage performing and I was trying to make a mega-phone out of my hands to shout in her direction. She was up there all alone. I really applaud the people who can do that, the people who can ignore the hundreds of people around, drinking coffee and staring, in the middle of that energy,” Miles said about the gorgeous Milla.
