Find out who he thinks from season eight has what it takes!

While the contestants of Project Runway who got to show their collections at Lincoln Center during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 9 were full of nerves and excitement, alum Anthony Williams sat back and enjoyed the show! “I mean people are quick to critique the Project Runway people but they have to know that this is their first time doing this, and I think they did well,” he said.

The former contestant, who was in the very same boat last February, enjoyed the opportunity to sit back and check out the work from the latest batch of designers — luckily, he shared with us who really wowed him and who he wasn’t so impressed with!

“My favorite is obviously Mondo! Mondo Mondo Mondo! It was colorful, it was fantasy, it was sexy, it was sophistication. I think it’s hard to do that when playing with bold colors, but I think he did a phenomenal job,” he said.

While Mondo obviously left Anthony impressed, he couldn’t say the same for all the contestants — especially April! “I didn’t like the collection from the girl with the drowning dolls at the tea party,” he said, referring to the theme she said inspired her collection. “And I casted her, but no I didn’t really care for that. I don’t know if I liked Gretchen’s collection either.”

So, aside from Mondo, who else did he think had potential? He said Valerie and her use of color also really caught his eye. “I love Valerie and Mondo, I love love love love love love them, but Mondo is definitely my number one!”

Who do you think has what it takes from this season?
