Current and former Dancing with the Stars cast members were out in full force last night and dished with HollywoodLife.com all about the new season + check out our gallery of the season 11 stars!
Although the cast of Dancing with the Stars was just announced on Monday, the drama is already beginning! HollywoodLife.com caught up with dancers Tony Dovolani, Corky Ballas and last season’s contestant Aiden Turner last night at OK! magazine’s fifth anniversary bash to talk all about the hit ABC show’s 11th season!
“I got the partner that I wanted!” a triumphant Tony, 37, told us happily. “I got Audrina Patridge. I am so happy with her! She’s working so hard. I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to go every rehearsal looking forward to it.”
Is this a dig at his horrible season 10 partner, Kate Gosselin? Sounds like it! At any rate, we’re pleased as punch for Tony that he seems to adore former The Hills star Audrina, 25, so much! “I hope the audience at home can she how hard she’s working and how badly she wants this. I think she’s just like that girl next door that just happens to be hot,” he gushed. “She’s driven. She’s doing this for the right reasons.” He added, “We get along great. She gets my humor. I get her humor. She’s a fantastic person to work with – I can’t ask for more.”
Another DWTS dancer happens to love Audrina, as well — Corky Ballas! “I think Audrina is really good. Just the way she moves is very graceful. I think she’s going to be great.”
But what about his own partner, Brady Bunch matriarch Florence Henderson? “Oh, I’m so excited about my partner!” he said. “Florence Henderson is America’s mom!” But Flo might need a wee bit of work, says the 49-year-old dance pro. “It’s going very well. Her strong point is that she’s able to focus and she wants to do well and she’s very aggressive – a little bit TOO aggressive at this point. I want to take it slow because I don’t want her to get injured. Everybody makes that mistake. They want to do too much too fast.”
One person also capable of making mistakes is Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, according to season 10 contestant Aiden Turner. “There’s a difference between [being a good dancer] and going to the gym, working out, getting a six-pack, a big chest and getting really buff,” the 33-year-old Brit warned. “To be honest, the way I got through Dancing with the Stars was to stop working out, to stretch and do yoga. I want to see [The Situation] cha-cha and throw his arms back! I’m going to be watching out for his hip movements. That stuff is NOT easy, especially being a man. He’s really got to move those hips, otherwise he’s not going to go far in the competition.”
Better change that “GTL” to “YTL” if you want a shot at beating Audrina, Mike!
