An on-set Glee insider confirms Mark’s denial that his co-star and part-time hook-up Naya wrecked his car in a jealous fit
When Mark Salling tweeted yesterday that there was absolutely no truth to the rumors that his co-star and sometime make-out partner Naya Rivera keyed and egged his Lexus, he wasn’t lying! An on-set Glee insider can confirm that not only are things A-OK between the two, but that the egg-throwing in question will actually take place on an upcoming episode of the hit Fox show!
“The egg thing isn’t true at ALL!” the on-set source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “There is an upcoming episode where rival Glee teams egg each other, and that’s where Mark and Naya think the rumor started. Seriously, they’re still friends!”
In fact, the two – who have been dating off and on since March – are still so close that they laughed off the fake incident and appeared to be as close as ever on-set August 26, just one day after the reports surfaced. “Naya and Mark were goofing off and dancing with each other between takes – they are totally fine with each other,” assures our insider.
Mark himself confirmed yesterday via Twitter, “Silly rumors, we’re the best of friends. … Btw I don’t even drive a Lexus.”
We suppose we CAN see where the rumors came from, though. Mark, 27, is a total playboy — and 23-year-old Naya seems completely into him! But we assure you, Naya isn’t acting at all like her Glee character – fiery Cheerio Santana Lopez – which is a very, very good thing for Mark…and his car!
