The Maroon 5 frontman is the latest celeb to launch a clothing line!
While practically every celeb seems to be trying their luck in fashion, this venture is a family affair! Adam Levine teamed up with his dad, Fred Levine, for his first foray into fashion, collaborating on a line, 222. Adam’s dad is no stranger to the business — for over 30 years, he’s operated a chain of boutiques in LA called M. Fredric.
“This is a family affair,” he told WWD. “What I wanted to avoid was the typical pitfalls that someone in my position can fall into. This is something grassroots. Most importantly, it’s something that I work on myself. I collaborate on and approve every single piece of clothing in the line. I’m not just hawking something because I’m in a famous band.”
It turns out, this is something the singer has been interested in in a while. The collection, which consists of 50 women’s styles and 25 men’s styles is made up of basics like jeans, tee’s, and jackets. Jeans will range from$150-$280, t-shirt’s are priced at $30, and dresses and wraps are just over $100. “I’m passionate about fashion. I think it says something about yourself and, whether you care about clothes or not, what you wear reflects some kind of attitude towards style,” he told WWD.
