The Icelandic singer — infamous for her swan dress at the Academy Awards — does it again, this time with her daughter in tow.
Bjork may be a very successful singer, but her reputation for wearing outrageous clothing pretty much overshadows everything else. Here she is at the premiere of the Finnish children’s movie Moomins and the Comet Chase. Along for the ride? Her 7-year-old daughter, Isadora, who distracted us from Mom’s bright green, puffy-sleeve number by wearing… some pretty standard little girl clothing.
We’re guessing this means that fashion sense is not genetic (big sigh of relief), but it makes you wonder — does Isadora ever look at her mom and ask (in Icelandic, of course), “Mommy, why do you dress so weird?”
Bjork said in a 2007 interview with Spin magazine that her home life (she also has a son, Sindri, 24) is surprisingly normal.
“[My daily life at home] is more regular than people think, let’s just say that. There’s definitely a lot of cooking happening,” she said. “People are not going to believe it, I know, but I’ve always been a bit of a homebody. I had a child at the age of 20, and just when he was getting big, I got a new one. They’re the best companions. I can’t imagine anything better than having a conversation about giraffes and why they are not blue.”
