Megan Fox’s longtime beau, former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green, proposed for the second time in Hawaii, and Megan said YES!. But you won’t be seeing the ring any time soon.
Brian, 36, and Megan, 24 first began dating in 2004 and called off their two-year engagement in February 2009, but have been working their way back to a serious commitment for more than a year. According to US Weekly Brian proposed on the beach at the Four Season Hualalai hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii.
But amidst all the excitement the 2-carat diamond ring Brian bought for Megan somehow got lost in the shuffle. Security and maintenance staff combed the beach but didn’t turn up the rock.
Megan recently told Access Hollywood that the trappings of commitment (like a big diamond sparkler) aren’t important to her anyway. Making a commitment is between her and the man she loves.
“I just think, if you’re going to [get married,] if you’re going to be with someone and make a commitment, it’s good to tell the universe, to say I’m committing to this person and making them my family,” she explained. “I think there’s something respectable about that and if we were to do it, it would be for ourselves. It wouldn’t’ be for society.”
