Sorry, Jill, but your tears aren’t going to make Bethenny forgive you. She doesn’t want to be your friend!
This is just what we expected — Bethenny Frankel did NOT accept Jill Zarin‘s plea for forgiveness! “Divorce can be ugly,” she said to Jill when the two sat down to discuss their shambled friendship on the season three finale of The Real Housewives of New York City on June 3. “I don’t know how to build a relationship in the future because I’m so damaged!”
All Jill wanted to do was have a chance to plead her case: “I asked Bethenny to lunch because this fight has gone totally berserk,” she explained. “I really just want to sit down and talk to her. I feel like we were married and separated. I don’t want to be separated.”
Unfortunately Bethenny shot her down! “I’ll sit down and I’ll listen,” Bethenny said. “Jill and I were very close — definitely a big part of my life. But this friendship has been shredded!”
Bethenny still holds it against Jill that she wasn’t a part of her life during the past monumental year (Bethenny got married and had a baby.) Bethenny turned to other people to comfort her: “Ironically, people I thought would never be there like Ramona Singer and Alex McCord, were pretty incredible,” she said.
And despite Jill’s tears, nothing moved Bethenny towards forgiveness. “There’s a reason Jill is sitting in front of me and crying because she knows that she screwed up!” Bethenny said.
While these two gals continued their feud, the rest of the Housewives had their own gigs going down. Ramona and her husband Mario renewed their vows at The Pierre Hotel, and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps kicked off her dream of pursuing a music career with an album release party.
The finale was definitely monumental, but the “two teams” of women remain clearly set. Unfortunately, it looks like it will continue that way into season four as Jill and Bethenny also didn’t make amends on the Housewives Reunion, which airs June 10 on Bravo.
