Find out why styling the upcoming flick was so personal for the stylist!

I know most girls can’t wait for Sex and the City 2 to hit the big screen, but as excited as I am for the four friends to be back together, I’m really dying to see what the gals are wearing from scene to scene — which is why last night, when I noticed stylist Patricia Field standing outside the Zac Posen for Target Launch Party in NYC with a couple of friends, I had to ask her what we could expect from the out of this world wardrobe in the highly anticipated flick! Patricia, (costume designer for the Sex and the City series and movies), who describes the costumes as, ‘Belly dancers meets glamorous Hollywood,’ said styling Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte as they jet off to Abu Dhabi was really personal. “The way I grew up, my father was born in Istanbul and my mother is from Greece, which is near Turkey, so my life it was all that. When they were gonna go out to the Middle East on this fabulous vacation, I said, ‘OK, bring it on!’ I had a lot of fun with it, because I had so much imagination as a kid that I just let it rip.”

“Nobody could’ve done it like that — and I’m not like that, I don’t say that about myself. It’s not because, oh I think I’m so great, it’s just because I have so much experience, I grew up with the belly dancers and I put it together with glamorous Hollywood. I was really happy with it, and I hope everyone else is!” As if I ever would’ve doubted that someone else would’ve been more suited for the role!
