So…Chuck Bass and Rose Nylund walk into a bar….Sounds like a joke, but if it was up to Gossip Girl creator Stephanie Savage, this joke’s punchline would be reality!
If the season finale of Gossip Girl didn’t throw you for a loop, just wait till you hear about creator Stephanie Savage’s new potential casting move: she wants Betty White to play a GG grandma!
“We still do have a couple of grandparents to cast!’ Stephanie told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Gracie Awards Gala in Beverly Hills, Calif. May 25 when we brought up the possibility of bringing the 88-year-old octogenarian onto the CW show. But her real dream is a Mad Men/Gossip Girl crossover. “This is just my imagination, but I’d love to do a crossover with Mad Men where we met one of the relatives of our young character back in the ‘60s,” she said.
Given Stephanie’s vivid imagination, we had to ask what’s become of our beloved Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), who was shot in the epic season finale cliffhanger. “We wanted to do something to Chuck that was going to be a real game changer, so IF he comes back in the fall we can assume that he’s going to be kind of a changed man,” she confided to us.
So Betty White, Mad Men and a reformed Chuck Bass are all tantalizing possibilities for season four of Gossip Girl! Make it happen, Stephanie! XOXO, HollywoodLife.com.
