It’s not easy to keep your self-esteem up in Hollywood, especially when you’re one of the top stars in the spotlight!
OMG! It must be so hard being one of Hollywood’s new “it” girls. Glee star Lea Michele, 23, opens up in a new interview for the June 2010 issue of Women’s Health about how her Hollywood hotness has affected her life. “I love myself, the way I look, my body,” she says. “But, sometimes I can’t help but feel insecure here. It plays with your head!”
“I need some me time,” Lea continues. “I have to remember to rest, because I have a natural energy and I don’t want to burnout.”
Hollywood has changed every part of her routine: “My idea of heaven used to be relaxing at home with a cheese plate and champagne,” she admits. But all that has changed now that she’s a vegan! “Coming from an Italian family, you can imagine [they] couldn’t understand. … But they respected my decision.”
Lea’s proud to be “the only girl in her high school class not to get a nose job” and it didn’t take long for her to realize she made it big in Hollywood. “I went out to dinner with my boyfriend, and Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were leaving the restaurant as we were going in,” she recalls. “[Penelope] was like, ‘Eez eet you? Are you dee girl I’ve been zeeing at all of dezz [Award] tings?'”
