But who should get the third spot? It’s your choice, America —I simply can’t decide who deserves it more, Daris or Koli!
I’ve been a die-hard fan of The Biggest Loser since the show first premiered in 2004, but this is the first time my favorite two contestants have ever made it to the finals and I’m ecstatic! The only problem? When it comes to the third and final spot — which America chooses, incidentally — I can’t decide who I’m voting for! I’m totally torn between Koli and Daris!
Ashley Johnston, a 27-year-old spa manager, and 30-year-old DJ Michael Ventrella were the biggest boy and girl in NBC’s Biggest Loser history. They’ve worked their butts off to drop an obscene amount of weight (Ashley lost 161 pounds; Mike lost a whopping 227 pounds), so it’s fab they’ve made it to the finals.
Then there’s Koli, a 28-year-old football coach who dropped 185 pounds, and Daris, a 25-year-old delivery man who lost 149 pounds — both of whom inspire me in totally different ways. Koli’s kick-butt attitude makes me want to jump off my sofa, throw out my snacks and sprint down the street. Daris, on the other hand, is so heartfelt and emotional that I want to buy self-help books, check myself into therapy and find out why I choose to comfort eat.
Both guys pulled at my heartstrings so much so while pleading for votes May 18, I chose the only safe option — I didn’t vote for either! I just couldn’t bring myself to make a choice. Hey NBC, can’t we please just have FOUR contestants on the finale?
