Ever wonder how Paris Hilton lives? Now you can recreate it! We have all the details from her interior designer Kenny Davis!
Paris Hilton is all glam, all the time! And Kenny Davis, the man who designed the apartment she lived in while filming Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, tells us how you can get her ’50s Hollywood style for your pad.
For her walls, Paris LOVES flocking wallpaper Kenny tells HollywoodLife.com. She uses bright colors, like turquoise or hot pink, on top of a silver metallic. Can’t afford to do your entire room? No problem says Kenny! “If you cannot afford the entire room – paper only one accent wall to add color, pattern and texture.” Add even more color by putting up layers of shear drapes (just $3 a yard!) in different colors and some silver hanging beads for fun!
As for her furniture, Paris is a big fan of nickel plated pieces upholstered in Patent leather, inspired by her Chanel handbags and shoes! Recreate this look for much less by picking up some slipcovers to put over old chairs. These Nepa slipcovers from Pottery Barn cost as little as $29 and make everything look new and fresh!
No room, or outfit, is complete without accessories. For her room, Paris loves funky lampshades for an unexpected burst of color. Try this fun version in your own room! Buy a basic lamp with a black or white shade, and wrap a colorful scarf around the shade. Secure with glue or even staple gun if one side faces the wall.
Kenny also tells us that “No house is a Paris house without a hint of mercury glass.” Instead of opting for the expensive real thing, get an interpretation like this beautiful votive holder that costs just $26 at Pottery Barn and is perfect to spread around the room.
At the end of the day, you don’t have to be Paris’ BFF to spend time in her chic and glamourous Hollywood-inspired room!
