Bret Michaels has been released from the hospital! He is still very sick, and under constant care, but his doctor expects he will make a 100% recovery!
This is the best possible news! Rocker Bret Michaels suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage on Apr. 22 — but he is expected to make a “100% recovery!” Hollywoodlife.com just learned that Bret has been released from the hospital, and though he still under close care, he is expected to be fine!
Bret was being treated at Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, and we are absolutely thrilled!
During a live press conference today, Bret’s neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Zabramski said, “Mr. Michaels was a lucky person … a very lucky person,” adding that Bret “continues to receive therapies and he is making a good recovery … I expect he will make a 100% recovery. He is one of those lucky people.”
We have previously reported that Bret is walking which is true. “He is walking but not very well,” says Dr. Zambramski. “We just don’t want him walking alone.”
The doctor also said, in a somewhat conflicting statement: “We are watching him very closely … we are very concerned there could be a detoriation of his status,” however, “Bret has someone with him 24/7.”
Bret’s doctor says he has not suffered any seizures since his hemorrhage, and that he has “recommended a minimum of 4-6 weeks from today of rest,” says Dr. Zambramski. “He is still very sick right now.”
Dr. Zambramski wants Bret to take it easy and he expects Bret to feel better over the next 7-10 days. As for getting back on the road? “I made him promise me not to make any promises.”
“Bret’s sheer will to live and fully recover is undeniable,” Dr. Zambramski released in a statement Apr. 30. We couldn’t agree more!
