Nick Cannon: ‘If Mariah Started Getting Ready For the Oscars Now, We’d Still Be Late!’
How long do you make your significant other wait while you’re taking your sweet old time getting ready?
When you’re getting your hair did or slapping on some makeup or even deliberating over whether or not that new dress makes you look fat (or not), how long does it take you to get yourself all gussied up? One hour? Two? Well, you’ve got nothing on Mariah Carey!
Even with more than two weeks to go until Oscar time March 7, the diva’s long-suffering husband, Nick Cannon, says his wife STILL won’t be ready in time. “I mean literally, we’ll still be late,” Nick sighed on K-EARTH’s 101 Morning Show in Los Angeles Feb. 17, in anticipation of Mariah’s big night (her flick, Precious, is up for a Best Picture nod).
The 29-year-old America’s Got Talent host has a strategy in place, though. “I just stay out of the way, in the other room, sitting on the couch waiting patiently,” he laughed of his notoriously high-maintenance lady, 39.
