Can you believe Camila gave birth four weeks ago?
Camila Alves showed off her incredible post-baby body Jan. 29 on the red carpet of the MusiCares Person of the Year ceremony in Los Angeles. Camilla, we can’t believe you gave birth to daughter Vida just four weeks ago! What’s your secret? Are you just dropping weight naturally through breast feeding, like Modern Family‘s Julie Bowen? Whatever you’re doing, keep it up — you look amazing!
Regardless of what she’s been doing to drop the weight, Camila did give HollywoodLife.com some tips for new moms struggling with their body image after giving birth.
“Hormones make you do crazy things!” she told us exclusively during a conference call on Jan. 27 for her new Bravo reality show Shear Genius. “[My advice?] Don’t cut your hair! Don’t do it! When you first have the baby or you’re pregnant, you are hormonal and your body is not back to where it used to be. The last thing you need to do is cut your hair. Keep what you have and try to make the best of that. You have to have that hair for a long time and you may regret it once your body regains its hormonal balance.” She says if you’re desperate for a change, try experimenting with different hair colors, rather than cuts.
And she understands your frustration over losing that baby weight. She recommends trying out different clothes to see what flatters you most. “Just stick with the flowy stuff,” she says. “Things that have layers but that don’t make you look too bogged down or heavier. Don’t try to do anything crazy and try to keep it basic. And don’t forget, we got Spanx!”
