When people push you, do you push back or break down? Latest Loser Migdalia Sebren chose option #1 — which led to some pretty heavy on-screen catfights!

After nine seasons of The Biggest Loser, trainer Jillian Michaels, 35, has become notorious for kicking her contestants into shape by beating them down emotionally. But there’s one contestant who didn’t accept Jillian’s harsh practices and tells us she’s seeing results by doing things her way, thank you very much.

“What Jillian wanted me to do was cry and tell her why I was [obese],” Migdalia Sebren — a 28-year-old homemaker from Sanford, NC — explained exclusively to HollywoodLife.com. “She insulted my family and it was just the wrong way [to deal with me]. I’m really close to my family.”

Instead of breaking down, Migdalia now fits in work-outs on the treadmill when her kids are at school or sleeping, and has started to let go of the “little things” in day-to-day life. “I was a bit of a control freak when it came to dealing with things [with my family],” she told us.

Even though she defied the trainer extrordinaire’s wishes, Migdalia has done pretty darn well with her own methods, dropping nearly 60 of her 265 pounds since starting her weight loss journey last summer. “I’m pretty motivated and I just want to live life,” the mom of two said. “I have a plan for every day.”

When you’re losing weight, does having someone scream at you get you the results you want? We’d love to see if you think Jillian’s methods are effective — or too extreme.
