One of our favorite fashionable teens, Emma Watson, proves she’s more than just a pretty face with her latest sustainable design venture!
A few weeks ago we were oohing and aahing over Emma Watson’s Burberry ads— but now the super-successful teen’s added another title to her already impressive resume— fashion designer! Emma has teamed up with the ethical fashion label People Tree to create a young and fun capsule collection that features 26 women and 15 men’s pieces that will be available come March on the People Tree site. Of all brands to collaborate with, I think her choice says a lot about Emma— not only is the brand committed to raising awareness for fair and sustainable fashion, but the proceeds from the collection will be donated to the People Tree Foundation!
So, what drove Emma to her new design role? “I wanted to help People Tree produce a younger range because I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to help alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with,” she says. “I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian and environmental issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.”
As if we needed another reason to convince us that Emma’s one of the coolest teens around!
