I’m so impressed by your normality, Anna – and completely respectful that you take the greatest pleasure in the smallest things
So, OK – a license isn’t a small things by any means, especially in LA, where a car 100% replaces your feet as the primary form of transportation. Still, I’m a little shocked that Anna Paquin is more excited to get her license than she is to potentially win two Golden Globe awards.
“I’m oddly more excited about the driver’s license,” Anna, 28, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at Audi’s pre-GG party Jan. 10 at L.A.’s Sunset Tower Hotel. Added the True Blood actress, who got her vehicular seal of approval two weeks ago, “I’m totally the two-handed driver, and I’m not very good at parallel parking.”
Apparently her happiness at having a license to thrill is preventing Anna from mustering up any excitement for the Jan 17. ceremony. She unenthusiastically even confided that she has zero plans for the big day. “It’s probably not any different than any other day,” she told us. Can you say buzz-kill?
Really, Anna? I mean, I get it. You’re British, and getting your first American license is exciting. I, in particular, feel your giddiness at being able to finally operate a moving vehicle legally – especially given that I failed my own driving test recently. But come on girl, I know you’ve already won an Oscar, but an award is an award. It means you’re a success – so suck it up, appreciate it and have a blast looking for the perfect dress.
And on that note, do you have any pointers on how to pass my driving test?
