The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub has been to rehab, AND was charged with eight federal offenses in 1986! This mother of two definitely knows a thing about cleaning up your act.
Danielle Staub, 46, the star of Bravo’s hit series the Real Housewives of New Jersey offered up some advice for Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen at the NYC premiere of Youth in Revolt on Jan. 5.
“When your marriage and relationships start to fall apart, it becomes more intensified with the press,” confesses Danielle. “My advice is just to live your life your way.” Danielle knows how to overcome bad publicity — she has a checkered past filled with a felony charge, extortion, cocaine possession, and narcotics conspiracy.
Brooke and Charlie have been harshly criticized for their domestic violence dispute that took place in Aspen Dec. 25 — in which Charlie physically attacked Brooke. Charlie was charged with two felonies: second degree assault and menacing — along with a misdemeanor of criminal mischief. Not only have both Brooke and Charlie suffered from substance abuse — it’s alleged that Brooke entered rehab when she was five months pregnant with her twin boys Bob and Max, 9 months. “If Brooke did do what is being said [she did] during her pregnancy, she won’t repeat it,” says Danielle. “She got lucky and nothing happened. [She] can’t go back, so it’s onward an upwards.” —Chloe Melas
