HOLLY-BESTIES! Amy Adams & Emily Blunt Are BFFs! And Amy Loves John & Emily Together!
Is Amy Adams, who’s starring in the new film Leap Year, the fairy godmother who introduced Emily Blunt to John Krasinski?
Here’s why I’m asking — Amy Adams it turns out that you’ve co-starred with both Emily Blunt and John Krasinski in the past. You couldn’t stop gushing about them and their engagement when I talked to you Jan. 6 on the red carpet of your NYC premiere Leap Year.
It turns out you knew John years before Emily did! “I was on The Office [in 2004] with John before they met,” says Amy. “It was really great when they started dating because I knew them both separately.”
You even starred in the 2008 dramedy Sunshine Cleaning with Emily — four years after you’d met John! “I thought it was really funny,” said Amy. “I was so excited when I found out they were dating that I think they were a little overwhelmed!”
Out of all of Amy’s previous co-stars, she admits that she’s the closest with Emily, “Emily and I keep in touch all of the time, ” she says. “We try to see each other when we’re both not working. Hopefully, I’ll see her very soon — at the [Golden] Globes because she’s nominated. I’ll go and cheer for her!”
The starlet is also engaged to her boyfriend of six years Darren Le Gallo, who accompanied her to the premiere. Amy is expecting the couples first child, “I felt like I could be myself around Darren,” she gushes. “I never felt like I was trying to impress him or trying to be somebody different — I’m a better version of myself than before I met him.”
