How did actor Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller get to a point where he was allegedly holding a knife to her throat, choking her, and threatening to kill her? In the weeks leading up to the Dec. 24 blow-out, Radar Online reports that Brooke was in contact with a divorce lawyer.
Brooke rented a house in Aspen for three months, and took their twins, Max and Bob, with her. Charlie, the 44-year-old star of CBS hit show Two and a Half Men, went to meet her in Aspen to see the kids for Christmas — but things took a turn for the worse when the duo (who are both recovering from alcohol abuse) began drinking and arguing.
Despite the fact that sober coaches were present at their Christmas Eve dinner, Charlie said in his Affidavit to Aspen police, that Brooke “threatened to divorce him and take the children” before he allegedly threatened her with a knife. Police on the morning of Dec. 25, and Charlie was arrested on accounts of second degree assault, domestic violence, and criminal mischief.
When Brooke went to Aspen days before the incident, she didn’t want Charlie to join her. In fact, Charlie’s family also begged him not to go, reports E! Online. “Things have been bad for a while,” reports E! “Sheen and Mueller got into an argument [in Aspen] about a month ago. Mueller threatened to call the police, but she didn’t.”
