‘Vampire Diaries’ Recap: Katherine Sabotages Damon & Elena’s Reunion

Plus, is Damon headed to the dark side… again?! No offense to Matt, but this was probably one of Mystic Falls’ worst parties ever.

In case you’re not yet aware, Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) is a life ruiner. Even when she doesn’t have her own body, she still manages to throw a wrench in all that is good and pure in Mystic Falls. Case in point: Damon (Ian Somerhalder) pulled out all the stops to win back Elena on the Jan. 30 episode of The Vampire Diaries – honestly, he was speaking so selflessly, I almost wondered if it was really him — but because Katherine was currently behind the wheel, she had Elena tell him off and walk away. Poor Ian Somerhalder. Every cat owner has dealt with the humiliation of being used as a human chair to please a kitty’s ever-changing whims, and The Vampire Diaries star’s cat Moke took things to the next level by seizing total control of his owner’s butt.

Now that the deed is done, Caroline has a major decision on her plate: Should she keep the Klaroline fire burning, or let it fizzle out?

Well, it finally happened: Klaus (Joseph Morgan) returned to Mystic Falls on the Jan. 23 episode of The Vampire Diaries and — for lack of a better term — banged Caroline (Candice Accola) against every tree in the forest.
