There’s no question Michael Phelps has the CUTEST fan rooting for him to make it to the Rio Olympics! In fact, his newborn son, Boomer, may even be his BIGGEST fan too as the little guy cracked an adorable smile while cheering his father on during the U.S. swimming trials — aw!

All the motivation Michael Phelps, 30, needed to ace his first Rio Olympics trial on June 28 was in the stands smiling down at him in the form of his newborn son, Boomer. Even better, the tiny baby was totally cheering his daddy on in his own way by flashing a big grin as Michael advanced to the next round! Looks like the Olympian has found his good luck charm!

Rory Mcllroy: Champion Golfer Refuses To Play In Rio Olympics For Fear Of Zika


Another athlete has pulled out of the Rio Olympics due to the Zika Virus. Irish golfer, Rory McIlroy, has announced that he will not be participating in the games because he is unwilling to risk his family’s health.

Rory McIlroy, 27, is no longer planning to play in the Rio Olympics, despite previously pledging his allegiance to Ireland for the games. Unfortunately, the golfer is more concerned about the health of his loved ones, especially fiancee, Erica Stoll.

2008 Olympics: 31 Athletes Re-Test Positive For Drugs — Banned From Competing In Rio?


The International Olympic Committee retested doping samples from the 2008 Beijing Olympics and shockingly discovered that 31 athletes used drugs to cheat! Will they be banned from the 2016 Rio games?

This is insane! In preparation for the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Summer Olympics, the International Olympic Committee, in conjunction with the World Anti-Doping Agency, took a second look at doping samples from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. What they found was deeply troubling. Out of 454 re-tested samples, 31 Olympians had cheated in the games by using drugs, the IOC announced on May 17! So sad! It’s still January and already 2016 has brought us so many celebrity losses, and now we have yet another one with the passing of skier Bill Johnson, who brought the U.S. its first ever gold in the Olympic Downhill event, and after battling a long illness. He was only 55.

Add another famous name to the dark start of 2016, with the news that Olympic champion Bill Johnson has passed away. He paved the way for the American skiing program at a time when U.S. athletes were a non-factor in the sport.
