Kendrick Lamar & Imagine Dragons Was The Best Grammys Performance

Getty

Sure, the Beatles performed, and Beyonce redefined “Bootylicious,” but if you ask me the best performance of the Grammys on Jan. 26 was one of the most unlikely — when Kendrick and Imagine Dragons staged a live mashup of their songs.

As a huge Kendrick Lamar fan (he was robbed last night, even Macklemore knows it), I was a little weary about pairing him up with the alternative, drum-pounding rock band Imagine Dragons at the Grammys on Jan. 26, but it turns out I was stupid to be a Doubting Thomas. Like, really stupid.

Beyoncé’s sexy performance at the 2014 Grammys was so hot that tons of concerned parents and outraged fans took to Twitter during the live primetime broadcast to call the diva’s act was way too risqué for family TV! Do YOU agree? Vote below!

Beyoncé and Jay Z opened the 2014 Grammy Awards with a too-hot-to-handle performance of their song together, Drunk In Love. Parents and fans slammed Beyoncé for showing off her (undeniably flawless) body in a sheer bodysuit and thong as the power couple showed major PDA during the performance, calling the show “disrespectful,” and “too sexy” for the primetime TV broadcast.

Taylor Swift Hilariously Thought She Won The Album Of The Year Grammy

Courtesy Of CBS, Getty

Taylor Swift was already known for her emotional facial reactions at award shows, but her understandably thrilled response to thinking she’d won Album of the Year (she didn’t) at the Grammys on Jan. 26 will go down in history as the best T-Swift ‘surprised face’ of all time.

Daft Punk‘s Random Access Memories won the Album of the Year Grammy on Jan. 26, but their competition Taylor Swift didn’t quite realize that right away. In fact — because her nominated album, Red, also starts with the letter “R” — Taylor and her team started reacting like she’d won when Alicia Keys announced Daft Punk as the victors. Oops!

Pharrell Williams’ Massive Grammys Hat Spawns Hilarious Internet Memes

Courtesy of Twitter

Pharrell won like a million awards at the Grammys on Jan. 26, but his biggest contribution to the music world last night came in the form of two enormous, 10-gallon hats.

When it comes to music and fashion, Pharrell Williams has been somewhat of a trendsetter because he sticks to his guns and takes risk. Well, he took a massive, Mountie-hat-sized risk with his headwear at the Grammys on Jan. 26, and if his goal was to start a movement and spark a thousand hilarious jokes, then it totally paid off.

Cory Monteith’s Name Misspelled In Grammys ‘In Memoriam’ Segment

So sad. In what should have been a poignant moment, Cory’s remembrance at the Grammys on Jan. 26 was soured when they spelled his name wrong during the “In Memoriam” segment.

It was fitting that the Grammy Awards honored Cory Monteith by including him in their “In Memoriam” segment on Jan. 26 and trying to remember all the great contributions he made to the music world. However, the ceremony’s execution of the tribute left a whole lot to be desired.

LL Cool J Is The Best Grammy Awards Host Ever

LL Cool J was the perfect choice to host the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on Jan. 26. He had fun with the crowd, but didn’t try to steal the spotlight from all of the featured performers and nominees. Are YOU happy he hosted again?

LL Cool J is a veteran of the music industry, so it’s no surprise he did such a great job hosting the 2014 Grammys on Jan. 26. The rapper, who hosted the Grammys in 2013, returned for another standout job. As an accomplished musician himself, he was able to relate to the audience — and he even cracked some jokes at his own expense!
