Lea Michele Begs Zac Efron To Get Help After Cory Monteith Death

Lea Michele is not going to sit by and watch history repeat itself. After losing her boyfriend and ‘Glee’ co-star, Cory Monteith, to a lethal cocktail of heroin and alcohol in July of 2013, the actress is reportedly reaching out to Zac Efron and urging the troubled actor to seek help.

Zac Efron seems to be struggling to get his life back on track after his two stints in rehab in 2013. Perhaps his friend Lea Michele will be the one who finally gets through to the 26-year-old heartthrob. After losing her beloved boyfriend Cory Monteith to a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol, Lea is reportedly reaching out to give the That Awkward Moment star some much-needed advice that could potentially save his life.

Lea Michele Honors Cory Monteith After 100th ‘Glee’ Episode

Episode 100 of ‘Glee’ brought back the original New Directions and was quite the celebration, but of course it also paid tribute to its fallen member. During the episode, not only did the glee club remember Finn, but Lea Michele remembered Cory by posting a sweet Instagram pic.

To celebrate Glee hitting the 100th episode on March 18Lea Michele began posting pics from the cast over the years — one of her on the first day of filming, one of her with some of the cast in 2008, and then one in front of a billboard in 2009 — with Cory Monteith.

‘Glee’: 100th Episode Was ‘Emotional’ & ‘Odd’ Without Cory Monteith

On March 18, ‘Glee’ will reach it’s hundredth episode, and while the network brought back the original New Directions for the celebration, one song was heartbreaking to sing without Cory.

In a new interview, co-creator and executive producer Brad Falchuk revealed that while the cast is excited to take on some of the best Glee hits ever on the hundredth episode, it wasn’t easy to perform “Don’t Stop Believin’” without Cory Monteith. The song was the first and last that Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn performed together.

So sad. In what should have been a poignant moment, Cory’s remembrance at the Grammys on Jan. 26 was soured when they spelled his name wrong during the “In Memoriam” segment.

It was fitting that the Grammy Awards honored Cory Monteith by including him in their “In Memoriam” segment on Jan. 26 and trying to remember all the great contributions he made to the music world. However, the ceremony’s execution of the tribute left a whole lot to be desired.
