Elton John and his partner David Furnish read to 6-month-old Zachary every night! Find out what adventures they share together!

“Every night at 6.30pm we read him a story,” Elton tells British radio station Magic FM. “That’s the highlight of the day. I’ve become an expert on children’s books.

“Of course we’ve done the ‘Hungry Caterpillar’! He likes ‘Stick Man’ and also ‘The Gruffalo’. Author Julia Donaldson is amazing, she’s fantastic.”

What do superstars take on their baby’s playdates? A security detail, if you’re Elton John!

The rocker is accompanied by a team of minders whenever he travels with husband David Furnish, 48, and baby Zachary – even when they’re visiting fellow new dad Neil Patrick Harris and his twins!

Five-month-old Zachary recently hung out with NPH’s eight-month-old twins Gideon & Harper — who were also born to a surrogate mom — and Neil was stunned when pal Elton, 64, brought bodyguards along!

The 37-year-old says during an appearance on The View, “They had a playdate, which was fun! They came to our house in the valley with their security detail! There were men outside with earpieces, while we were inside changing diapers!”

That sounds a bit extreme!

How I Met Your Mother star Neil and his partner David Burtka loved hanging out with the superstar and his baby son — but they worry their lifestyle doesn’t quite match up to Elton’s.

He adds, “There will be playdates, I hope, for some time. I just worry that Elton and David’s son Zachary will look at our twins and and say: “What is this Baby Gap you’re wearing? It’s not Louis Vuitton.”

Jean Paul Gaultier has added a new venture to his long list of successes. The 58-year-old French fashion designer has decided to launch a line of clothing for infants aged 0-2 years! Elton John and his husband David Furnish received the best gift of all when their son, Zachary, was born via a surrogate on Christmas Day. And ever since then the couple has been showering their tiny tot with gifts. The latest to arrive is a mamaRoo! Sure, it looks like something from outer space, but this pod-like chair has a ton of benefits for a baby!

Neil Patrick Harris can’t wait for his kids to have a playdate with Elton John’s son

The neat seat bounces up and down and sways side to side, which is supposed to mimic the movements of a parent holding a baby. It has five different motions that simulate everything from a car ride to ocean waves and even something called kangaroo! Wow — these things have come a long way from when I was a kid!

Elton’s thrilled about Zachary’s arrival

The high-tech infant seat retails for about $200 and comes in a range of cool colors — including lime green, basic black and princess pink — and also features balls decorated with classical works of art from the likes of Van Gogh and Monet. Oh yeah, and there’s an iPod dock in it, so Elton, 62, can play Zachary his greatest hits from the get go!

“Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents,” says Elton. And when it came time to pick a name for their baby boy the singer and David, 48, didn’t have to think twice. “A friend gave us a book of baby names, and we started to flick through it, but we have always loved the name Zachary and kept coming back to it. In the end, we looked at each other, and put the book back on the shelf, and said, ‘This is it!’” he tells Us magazine.
