When Magnum Ice Cream announced that they were creating a golden ice cream bar we didn’t think anything could top the luxury treat — that is, until designer Zac Posen, 32, teamed up with the brand to create his very first 24-karat gold dress!

To celebrate the launch of the top-notch summer snack, the Project Runway judge created a 24-karat gold dress inspired by MAGNUM Gold. The one-of-a-kind piece will be featured in a short film by Emmy award-winning director, Jon Cassar, 54, starring Joe Manganiello, 36, during the Tribeca Film Festival on Thursday, Apr. 18. The film is titled As Good As Gold.

The couture gown boasts over 10 thousand hand embroidered gold sequins in various sizes, which were ever so delicately hand created from sheets of 24k gold! “Creating my first-ever 24 karat-gold dress was a truly priceless experience. I’m naturally drawn to luxury and love to push my creativity, so the design process of creating a couture dress made of gold was thrilling. I pulled inspiration from MAGNUM Gold?! for the dress design…the train reminds me of melting ice cream. The dress is so decadent,” says the designer of his masterpiece. Sounds delicious…and gorgeous!

If you’re anything like us, we’ve been dying to know what a gown embellished with premium gold from head-to-toe is worth. Zac Posen’s creation is valued at $1.5 million! I guess we’ll just stick with the ice cream bar for now.

The dress will debut on the red carpet on model Caroline Correa, 33, who will be playing Manganiello’s leading lady, at the Tribeca Film Festival on Apr. 18, but you can get a sneak peek of the design process on the MAGNUM Facebook page until then! Zac Posen will be joining Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Tim Gunn as one of the judges on the upcoming 11th season, taking over for Michael Kors! After working with Kors as a guest judge in seasons three and four, Posen says, “[Kors] was always a generous, warm mentor.”

Michael’s departure from the show was voluntary due to scheduling conflicts, but this definitely won’t be the last we see of him on Project Runway! He’s planning to return to the show for the season finale — and we can’t wait to see him reunite with the old gang!

The designer judge swap won’t be the only change that will be brought to the table for the upcoming season. The contestants are typically used to working on their own, but they will be thrown for a loop when they are told to work in groups!

Zac Posen took to Twitter and said, “So excited to be the new judge on @ProjectRunway Season 11!! Joining @heidiklum @ninagarcia and @TimGunn.” Are all you Project Runway buffs as excited as he is to see him on the show?

Zac Posen’s lines include ’40s inspired looks, mermaid-inspired gowns and super short cocktail dresses. We’re excited to see what kind of influence Posen will have on the aspiring designers this upcoming season. Some of his clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Lucy Liu, Natalie Portman, and Naomi Campbell. Posen pulled out every stop to present his best collection yet on Avery Fisher Hall’s elegant long balcony overlooking all of NYC’s Lincoln Center, on Sept. 9th.

It was a magical moment between the twilight night and the parade of beauties led off by supermodel Naomi Campbell and hot brunette model, Isabeli Fontani.

Have you heard the phrase — Hollywood glamour? Well Zac captured the feel and look of legendary Hollywood stars like Grace Kelly, Veronica Lake and Rita Hayworth with his chiffon floral day dresses fitted around the bodice and flaring over the hips.

For evening, it was all about satin, strapless and fishtail hemlines, that wrapped around every curve.

For the Zac Posen show, Luigi Murenu from John Frieda created a hairstyle he described as “chic, elegant and timeless.” He said that the source of his inspiration for this look was polished wood. Inspiration really can strike anywhere.

Luigi shares his backstage hair tip claiming that “Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula is a Fashion Week essential.” This multi-functional product works wonders in creating a sleek look. Luigi says “not only do I use it on damp hair to tame frizz, but I also use it right before models walk the runway. This added touch keeps styles smooth and extra shiny and makes the model’s hair color look radiant.”

Luigi used this product to create the sleek, wet-look waves seen at the Spring 2013 Zac Posen runway show. Here’s how he styled the look:

“To keep the crown frizz-free, apply a dime-sized amount of Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula, smoothing hair downward from the top of the head to below the ear,” he says of the look’s foundation. “Next, apply Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse evenly through hair and brush to uniformly distribute product.”

For a retro wavy style, “create a severe middle part and blow dry completely, brushing hair back and away from the face to make the hair at the crown flat and smooth. With a 1” curling iron, create a wave by wrapping small sections of hair twice around the barrel. Make sure to stop before reaching the nape of the neck in order to keep the crown flat. Brush hair out to create one uniform wave.”

To keep the style in place, Luigi finished off the look with Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray.

Hollywood’s A-List managed to dress up and give back as they all flocked to the Art of Elysium’s 4th Annual Black Tie “Heaven” Charity Gala on Jan. 15.

With the show just days away, the star reveals what designer she’s wearing on the big day — and says slipping into a Posen runway dress is the best medicine!

If, like me, you can’t wait to see what your fave a-listers will wear to the 2011 Golden Globes then you’ll definitely appreciate this sneak peek! Svelte star Kelly Osbourne was recently feeling under the weather — but she managed to get out of bed for a fitting for her Globes dress! The star, who will be wearing Zac Posen on Sunday, Jan. 16, tweeted, “Had to get out of bed to do a fitting for the Golden Globes! I’m wearing a Zac Posen Paris runway dress that is out of this world amazing!”

According to Kelly, high fashion is the best cure for when you aren’t feeling well! “So sick but fitting into a Zac Posen runway dress = worlds best medicine.” Kelly, we couldn’t agree with you more — I would love to cure my cold with a runway frock right about now, wouldn’t you?
