With The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part One out, now we have our eyes set on the first The Hunger Games film, which hits theaters March 23 — and we love the newest still released today.

In the pic, Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), joined with Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), pumps up Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) during his training before the games begin.

“Just because you come from District 12 is no excuse to ignore you,” he says.

Seasoned veteran actor Woody Harrelson talked to MTV about shooting the first ‘The Hunger Games’ movie and working with Jennifer Lawrence and the rest of the young cast!

We have to be honest…when we think of Woody Harrelson, we don’t think of a leading actor in a young adult series. However, the more time passes, the more we begin to believe the quirky actor as the pivotal character, Haymitch, in The Hunger Games film. Woody, 50, recently chatted with MTV about shooting the first movie and said we’re not going to be disappointed.

“I think it’s going to be a good movie,” he said.

Later he added, “It’s almost impossible to describe. It’s so unusual…It’s a real original artistic vision. I think people are going to like it.”

Lionsgate Publicity just announced Woody Harrelson has been cast in the role of Haymitch in the eagerly anticipated The Hunger Games movie! The actor scored the coveted part of The Hunger Games victor who mentors Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) in the competition. Do you think he fits the role?

His name had previously been tossed around along with John C. Reilly, Robert Downey Jr., and Hugh Laurie. Haymitch is a “paunchy, middle-aged man” and the town drunk of District 12 who is responsible for helping Peeta and Katniss train for the deadly Hunger Games. He joins Effie, played by Elizabeth Banks, in escorting the two tributes from their home into the Capitol as they prep for their competition. Haymitch is one of the leading characters throughout the three novels.

The movie starts filming in North Carolina soon and is slated for a March 23, 2012 release.

Lindsay reportedly wasn’t “bankable” enough for the film. Would you go to the movies just to see Lindsay in action?

I hope you weren’t too excited to see Lindsay Lohan in The Other Side, as TMZ is reporting she’s been DROPPED from the movie! A source involved in production of The Other Side says Lindsay wasn’t “bankable” enough to star in the movie, which is about a grad student who has to work on a deserted island.

Lindsay hasn’t been officially replaced yet, but The Other Side‘s writer/director David Michaels tells the site: “Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement.” Had she been kept in the movie, Lindsay would have starred alongside Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews, Woody Harrelson and Giovanni Ribisi.

Lindsay last acted on the small screen in the 2009 ABC Family original movie Labor Pains, in which she played a girl who had to fake a pregnancy to keep her job. And if you’re hungry for more Lindsay, her next big screen appearance will be 2010′s Machete, which is based on the knife-wielding character introduced as part of a fake trailer in 2007′s Grindhouse.

BFFs — is Lindsay really not “bankable,” as that one source says? We’ve already decided she might have the most dysfunctional family in Hollywood. Would you steer clear of a movie just because Lindsay was the star?
